Pure luxury and relaxation in the new VIP Lounge at Frankfurt Airport
Relaxation and absolute privacy in one of the luxurious suites, a drink at the bar, a cigar in the smoking lounge or a fast-paced table soccer game before your flight takes off: Guests of the redesigned Fraport VIP Lounge can now enjoy all of these and many more exclusive comforts of the VIP-Services Frankfurt Airport at five-star level.
The elegant and cosmopolitan design of the lounge which also expresses internationality comes from the creativity of Bergit Gräfin Douglas and her renowned studio MM Design in Frankfurt. It focuses on high-quality interiors, warm colour schemes, materiality and art.
In order to meet these extremely high demands also in the interior fit out performance, the owner contracted
baierl + demmelhuber – due to the great craftsmanship of the B+D units and the extensive project experience in luxurious airport lounges.
Scope of works for baierl + demmelhuber was the complete interior fit out of the suites and lounges on an area of 1,300 m². Every room is up to an individual theme which is reflected by the interior design. This resulted in an enormous surface variety, which ranges from leather, cloth and grass-hemp wallpaper, paintings, natural stone and marble up to large wall panelling and doors out of whitewashed oak.
Also regarding the flooring works, many different materials were used: Taiping carpets, solid wood flooring in used look and natural stone. The bathrooms are vested in room-high marble panels, including the doorframes. Another highlight are the real stucco mouldings of 1.2 kilometres in various designs, which run through the whole object.
All works were executed in extremely high construction standard with highest technical requirements and extensive documentation.
