Hyperlocal, sustainable and rooted in sports – adidas Flagship Store is setting trends in Berlin
These ideas can be experienced in the 1,400 m² adidas Flagship Store Berlin. The design concept focused on connecting the store with the city, the local community and the culture of the Ku'damm. One of the centrepieces is the so-called Green Lab with sustainable products and experiences that focus on sustainability.
baierl + demmelhuber started the complete interior fit-out with the complete demolition of the existing shop and moved seamlessly into very challenging structural works. In addition to a completely new HVAC / MEP system, more than 90,000 metres of cable were installed in the high-tech store.
The high importance of sustainability for adidas is also reflected in various design decisions for the store. The installation of sustainable terrazzo, environmentally friendly filling works and a reused sports hall floor paved the way for the LEED Gold certification achieved.
Our metal construction services included an elaborate entrance portal with folding glass doors, a concealed door air curtain and complete cladding of the facade profiles.
