Tradition meets future – in the new Tommy Hilfiger store in Zurich
Tommy Hilfiger sets new standards with its “Store of the Future“ – success will not be defined as sales per square metre anymore in the future, but as “excitement and surprise per square metre”. With this new concept the brand offers a new experience to its customers based on three pillars (the traditional store / a community space for social interaction, so-called “People’s Place” / the digital interaction). The customers can, as an example, use the “Mix & Match Screens” to create their own outfits by letting virtual models try them on or check colours and sizes.
baierl + demmelhuber did the complete interior fit-out as well as building services of the store area measuring 500 sqm, split into three floors. Apart from classic drywall, flooring and wall works, the banister is entirely produced out of glass, the handrails are manufactured out of an exquisite wood-metal-combination and the stairs’ bottom view has been covered with backlit corian. The characteristic Tommy Hilfiger Jacquard has been cut into high-brilliant stainless steel panels by using water-jet technology and now embellishs the shop windows. Wooden slats and panel ceilings have been installed in the People’s Place area.
baierl + demmelhuber is proud that it has been the partner for this high quality interior fit-out of this new store concept.
